Banana Snickers

A snickers bar is one of my favourite chocolate bars, but I wanted to make a healthier alternative avoiding high calorie, processed ingredients. This is what I’ve come up with & it’s simply delicious. It takes minutes to make & can be eaten straight away or from frozen depending on your preference.

Prep-Time 10 minutes


4 ripe bananas

Peanut butter, smooth or crunchy. I love a crunch so went with the latter

High quality dark chocolate (80% cocoa +)

Chopped nuts or a few whole nuts to decorate (optional)

Pinch of sea salt

How to

  1. Peel & chop bananas into thirds then cut length-ways
  2. Add a little peanut butter onto one half of the banana then pop the other half on top. Squishing down the peanut butter
  3. Melt the dark chocolate & drizzle over the bananas or roll & fully coat
  4. Sprinkle over chopped nuts & a pinch of sea salt
  5. Eat immediately or freeze & eat from frozen
